EVENING LEAD/HEAD CHEF

Based in London, Highbury (N5) we're an independent neighbourhood restaurant with 26 covers (opened in October 2014) on the search for a talented chef to lead our evening offering. 

We run a regularly changing, seasonal menu using excellent suppliers alongside an experienced, professional, calm & relaxed team.

We already have a solid reputation, so this is a great opportunity for someone to enhance and develop their career whilst stamping their mark on the food we produce. 

As the lead evening chef, you will have full creative input on the menu and be responsible for running the kitchen and all aspects of management within that, with the chef owners support. 

This means producing weekly costed menus, being in charge of ordering and ensuring EHO standards are highly maintained.

 

You must also be relaxed working independently with one KP in the evenings.

Hours are circa 35 hours per week mainly across Wednesday (9am to close) and Thursday to Saturday (4pm to close), however we're flexible and run a two monthly rota so you get a full weekend off once a month and some evenings off (so your not always working the same nights straight), but this also means picking up a few brunch/lunch shifts per month on the rota.

You will need to be an experienced and previously cooked at some well-regarded restaurants and be highly organised.

Salary is £40,000 per annum with overtime paid, pension scheme & statutory holiday entitlement.
