WEEKEND CHEF

Franks Canteen is a small (28 covers), but bustling restaurant in Highbury (N5) known for fresh food with a weekly changing menu, excellent friendly service & great coffee.
We’ve superb reviews from the Evening Standard, Timeout & many other outlets.
We're on the search for a weekend chef to run the kitchen on a perm or long contract (min 12 months) basis. The kitchen is supported by one KP so you'll need to be comfortable working solo, very organised & previous experience in a busy restaurant is essential.
We're a calm, professional team so looking for a similar person.
Experience working as a breakfast or brunch chef would also be a great advantage.

The hours are Saturday & Sunday (7.30am to 4.30pm), for 6 or 7 weekend days a month. These are flexible, so could be 3 weekends on and one off for example or another combo (we run a two monthly rota). We also have occasional weekday shifts free as well for holiday cover etc.

Hourly rate is £17 plus share of tronc (£2.50 - £3 per hour), 28 days (pro-rata) holiday, meals, drinks & paid overtime or we can employ on a freelance basis on receipt of a monthly invoice.
